New Jersey native Matthew Palentchar knew while attending college at Rutgers University in New Brunswick that a career in law was his destiny … or at least his desired career. For four years at the Big Ten school, he studied toward a Bachelor’s degree in political science, emphasizing pre-law, graduating in 2000. By 2004, with that passion still firing, Palentchar achieved his Juris Doctorate from the Claude W. Pettit School of Law at Ohio Northern University. He completed his bar exam that following summer, eager to move into the field. And then he relocated from New Jersey to Florida, ready to become a practicing attorney.
After several years working for a firm and with his own practice in the Fort Myers area of Florida, a life-threatening illness jeopardized everything for Palentchar. He both battled and defeated that illness, after moving back to New Jersey to do so. His attorney goals were never far; he fought to overcome illness and other obstacles, and return to Florida to continue practicing law. In 2016, Matthew Palentchar opened MGP Law & Title, returning better than ever in his career, focusing on real estate transactions and property law. MGP Law & Title is in the St. Petersburg area where Palentchar resides with his wife and two dogs.

Matthew Palentchar was an athletic kid, taking part in baseball, soccer, football, and basketball. He enjoyed sports a great deal and took to them easily. He was simply naturally athletic and has kept that knack for learning quickly, practicing consistently, and executing strongly. He grew up in a relatively small town in New Jersey called Colonia, which is essentially a suburban environment. It benefited him immensely in that it gave him strong ethics and values to uphold. He would later attend Rutgers University at New Brunswick and obtain his Political Science degree. After graduating from Rutgers University – New Brunswick, he moved to the midwest in order to attend Ohio Northern University on an all-expenses paid scholarship. Palentchar earned his Juris Doctorate and then moved to Florida.
After passing the bar in Florida, a state where Matt Palentchar saw a great deal of opportunity, he joined a law firm in Naples. This general practice law firm proved to be too much of a corporate grind for him and he soon grew weary of the atmosphere. After quitting, he began his own law practice. Today, Matthew Palentchar has been practicing law in Florida for more than ten years. He currently lives and works in Saint Petersburg, where he lives with his beauty of a wife and two wonderful kids.
